General: Automatically resize forms to current screen resolution

Author(s)
Dev Ashish

(Q) I developed my Access database using a 1024x768 screen resolution. But my users are using a 800x600 resolution setting on their pcs. As a result, my forms/reports are not fitting on one screen. Is there a way to automatically resize the forms depending on users display properties?

(A)     Access 97 Developer's Handbook by Ken Getz, Paul Litwin, and Mike Gilbert (ISBN 0-7821-1941-7, Sybex) describes the process in detail on how to automatically resize forms.

Ken Getz, on DevelopersHandbook.com, has also made available Form scaling/resizing tool from Access 2000 Developer's Handbook, Desktop Edition (Volume I). Scale your forms so that they maintain the same "look" at any resolution, and resize controls as users resize forms. In addition, you can dock or float controls without resizing them.

Also, Peter Dabeats has put together demo databases that show the capabilities of his Shrinker/Stetcher utility. The databases can be downloaded from
