Bugs:
Hyperlink with "mailto:" tag opens two windows |

This problem has been reported by several individuals and can be
easily duplicated with Outlook Express or Outlook. I,
personally, haven't seen this with other email clients, but
again, others have reported this to be the case.
The solution is now known, thanks to Lloyd
Songne, who emailed me the following.
There is a better fix to the
problem you mentioned under bugs where Outlook and Outlook express open two
mail composition windows. We ran into this and MS was able to give the
answer. Here's how we fix it per Microsoft support:
- Select the "Start" button and choose "Run"
- In the space provided type regedit
- Open the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT folder
- Scroll down until you find the PROTOCOLS folder and open it
- Open the Handler folder
- Open the "mailto" folder
- Delete the CLSID key
- Close the Registry Editor
